Garlic free pizza recs

Garlic and I are no longer friends, but I still really want to eat pizza some nights. It's been forever since I've ordered a pizza, and don't want to end up throwing it away. I know Dominos covers their crusts in that awful garlic butter stuff, but what about others? Pizza Hut? Papa John's? I just want a plain cheese pizza that won't taste like garlic. Thanks ladies!

  • You could get some dough and make it yourself, then you could put whatever things you liked one it :)

Lol, with all that extra time I have. DS is almost 8 months, DH is deployed and at the end of the day I have zero energy. The delivery man is my new BFF.

  • Pizza Hut doesn't have a strong garlic flavor IMO.  I am not sure about Papa John's, I haven't eaten it in many years because I don't care for it.

  • I'm a huge papa Murphys fan (take and bake) otherwise little Caesars is right around the corner and I would do just about anything for their crazy bread! Oh, I also enjoy their pizzas. ;)

  • I know pizza hut doesn't cover their crust, and I don't think papa john's does either. You could awlays ask dominos to make it plain if you prefer their pizza...

  • If you have a 'real' pizza place (not a chain but a place that makes it homemade), they can make it anyway you want it.  There might be a tiny bit of garlic in the sauce but unless you are extremely sensitive to it, you wouldn't know it.

This. I prefer mom and pop pizza places to the chains. Their pizza is so much better IMO :-)

  • Call a local pizza place. I've never heard of a local pizza parlor drenching their crust in garlic.

  • The best pizzas are homemade ones! The dough from Whole Foods is great & it's a fun family thing to do. DH & I make Whole Foods pizzas once every few weeks.

  • Papa Johns delivers their pizza with a thing of garlic sauce on the side, so I don't think there's any in it. I don't think Pizza Hut is very garlicky either. Dominoes only started that garlic and salt stuff when so many people were complaining about how tasteless their pizza is so they launched that "We changed our recipe" ad campaign. So they just put garlic and salt in it.
