made it 6 months & no pumping for awhile

I'm a teacher and today is the last day of school, so I don't have to pump until August!!!  I'm so freaking excited about that!

And LO turned 6 months a couple of days ago.  When I started BF, I wanted to make it until I went back to work when he was 3 months.  It's hard to believe that I doubled that and should be able to continue through the summer just fine.  My new goal is a year, which would mean I only have to pump about 3 months when I come back to work in late August.

    Congrats to making it to your goal!

    I am sooo jealous that you get to put the pump away for a bit.  I would love to throw my pump out the window, but alas, I am stuck with it for for another 6 months.  1 year is also my new goal...

    I am also very excited about that!  I plan on continuing to pump once in the morning through the summer though to add to my stash and keep my supply up knowing that it took a hit when I returned to work last month.  I figure then I maybe able to retire the pump earlier for good :)  Congrats on making it to 6 months!

    Congrats!!! Excited for you that you get the whole summer off with your little man.  My original goal was 3 months as well but we are going strong at 5+ and I would LOVE to get to a year (or more!).  Pumping at work sucks so that will be my only issue...but I only work 3 days a week and I only pump once while there so I shouldn't complain.

    Have you started solids yet?  I remember you saying on the Dec 2011 board that you were thinking of starting soon.

    Yes, we started a couple of weeks ago.  He's had sweet potatoes and apples and loves them both!

    Congrats on making your first goal! 3 months was also my first goal and now I want to get to a year at least. I am also so so jealous of your pump free time!
