but I wanted too, until tomorrow's beta, since yesterday's beta was only 38.6. 
RE said they were looking for anything above 20 and they were happy about this #....me on the other hand, not so much.
Getting my results from yesterday did not come so easy either. Dh and I took in a 4 year old girl Monday evening and she was a HUGE handful (non-stop talking, asked a million times when she was going to see her mother, waking up in the middle of the night every 2 hrs screaming to ask me about her mom and siblings - which she has no sister and her brother is in a foster home)...so needless to say Tuesday morning did not start off well.
I get to the lab at 7:30am thinking that my RE would call me early (since they did that in the past), but the "rule" is that they call with results after 2:30pm, ok well when I left work at 3pm and still no word, I called and of course their computers were down and they couldn't tell me anything. I call the lab that I went to, to get the results and she wouldn't give them to me b/c I wasn't a Dr nor was I from a Dr office, I asked for someone higher up, but she ended up hanging up on me, I called back and she told me I needed to get my results from the Medical Records Dept. Ugh! On top of being 30 mins away from the lab, I needed to be home in 45 mins (I live 20 mins from the lab) for the little girl to be dropped off from Pre-School, oh and my phone died too. Talk about a mini-freak out.
I get home from the lab w/results and my town was hit by a "Tornado" - no joke, this is still being debated - tons of branches down, trees uprooted, hail, a fair amount of damage to houses, cars & pools, leaves everywhere and the majority of the town was without power. Thankfully, hubby ran right out and bought a generator, which your not suppose to run computers, tvs, etc...just the necessities like fans, lights, fridge.
I really am sorry for the long delay ladies, the last few days have been crazy.
I promise I will post beta #2 as soon as I can tomorrow. Thank you for all the good thoughts and beta vibes!!!!

Oh man!! What a day you had. Glad you made it through it all. 38.6 isn't a bad first beta. My first beta at 14dpo was 49, and then, it didn't even double the next time, it was only 50. But I've got a very active little boy cooking right now!! So keep your chin up!!!
I hope tomorrow's beta is a really great one!

Congratulations though! I know how you feel about a lower beta than expected. Mine was only 46 - but it doubled nicely and I just know yours will too!

Ugh what a day! I am sorry you had to deal with all that madness! I was thinking about everyone in your area because I heard you guys got hit hard. We had a tornado watch all day yesterday but nothing ever came of it other then some nasty thunderstorms.
That isn't a really low number hun but I understand why you feel the way you do, I felt the same way. I am praying hard for a great doubling number tomorrow!

Honestly -- I think you are ok -- you had your beta at 9 days, right? Mine was at 13 and only 108. But I do understand your worry and concern.
Sorry about the tornado and all, glad everything is worked out.
And about the 4 year old....although her behavior sounds 100% normal, it is 100% exhausting. How long is she with you?

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
