Constipated...

My little guy hasn't pooped in three days now. What would you do? I think it is because I gave him some apple sauce. Even the formula I give him every now and then that makes him runny hasn't touched it. He exclusively breast feeds except for the few formula bottles he has gotten.

    It's very common for BF babies to not poop for days. Eli's record so far is 11. He usually only poops once a week now. I got scared when he changed because he was 3-4 poops a day to once a week very suddenly. My pedi said as long as when he poops the consistency is the same and it isn't hard, it's not constipation and it's okay. If you're worried -  I'd call your own pedi and ask.

    I just went through this too. Two midwives I've spoken to both said up to 14 days is still okay for breast fed babies as long as baby looks healthy and not in any pain. And if the poo finally comes out runny (not hard - which would be constipation). 14 days!! My LO pooed after 6 days thankfully.
