EBF & going back to work ?

I'm going back to work next week and I'll be working 5 hour shifts, 2 days a week. Will I need to pump at work or will my supply be okay if I don't? I'm going to feed LO before work and then again when I get home so H will probably only need to take over one feeding, maybe not even...

    If you don't pump, is your H going to give formula to LO?  I know your body regulates depending on when you feed.  I know people who give formula during the day, but are able to nurse evenings, nights, and the first morning feeding.  
    They don't have to pump during the day.

    How old will your LO be? At 6 weeks you still should be doing 8 feedings a day. I would leave enough breast milk for 3 feedings ( just in case of a growth spurt or something) and bring the breast pump to work. Unless you don't want those feedings without you to be breast milk, then don't bring your pump and your supply will be less.

    I have been pumping the last few weeks while at home, so I have a freezer stash started already that way my H will feed him while I'm at work. We will not be giving any formula, just BM. I just wanted to make sure not pumping at work (because I won't have time) won't affect my supply and mess me up because I plan on BFing for a year.

    I'd plan on pumping, if you can - I think its the safest route.  By the time you drive to work, work, drive home, get situated, it could be 6 hours - that's a long time to go without something activating your supply. You could always stop later if it really isn't needed/too big of a hassle.

    If you can't pump, well, then, you can't.  Just have to wait and see.

    It could affect your supply but since it is only 2 days and most likely wont, as long as its not 2 days in a row.
