I am EBF but started to pump yesterday to prepare for going back to work and introduce a bottle...my question is how much milk were you able to pump when you first started breastfeeding??
Everyone is different, but average is 1oz per hour. So if it's been 3 hours since you last nursed or pumped, you'd get 3oz.
In the beginning, you are pumping IN ADDITION to nursing, so you need to give your body a few days to get the message that you need more milk. Once you are back at work, you are pumping to REPLACE a feeding, so you should expect more then.
