amazon mom

does anybody use amazon mom? If so, do you think it saved you money or even made it worth the $70 membership

Re: amazon mom

  • Yes, and yes! Free 2- day shipping,  and discounts on diapers. I think we've already saved $70 in shipping. We also have subscriptions to things like diapers and wipes, so they just automatically send them every month.

  • jeez! this scared me! i've been *really* behind in my bills/memberships online and when i read that there was a fee it surprised me... we only used amazonmoms for wipes, and had a subscription with them. i won't be upgrading as i have lots of gcs from target and a stockpile of diapers. we don't order online very much, but i could see how this would help with multiple little ones or other deals. i was happy with the service, but don't order enough to benefit from the paid upgrade.
  • We use it, but we are thinking of canceling. LO is growing quickly and we never finish the diapers they send us before he grows out of them.

  • I LOVE Amazon Mom! I love the free 2 day shipping, save on all the baby stuff plus shop for all kinds of things on Amazon because they tend to have the best prices. For me, it has more than paid for itself.

  • Totally worth it for us. I agree with pp. I order all kind of products from amazon for a cheaper price than walmart most of the time. You can update and chane your diaper subscription as you go. I have an amazon app on my phone. I can scan an object and pull it up on amazon, I then compare the price in store. I did this in BRU one day and was amazed. Even with the 20% off coupon amazon was cheaper on most products.

I love Amazon and buy a ton of stuff on there.  I signed up for Amazon Mom when it was free, but my free subscription expires next month and I'll be renewing it.  We don't use Subscribe and Save because we've been able to find better deals on diapers in stores (we've stocked up each time BRU has had the buy 2 boxes of Pampers get $20 off sale, and between that discount and using coupons it's cheaper then Amazon).  Amazon prices are normally cheaper then stores, but you get those prices regardless of if you have a mom/prime account.  However, with a Prime membership you get free 2 day shipping and don't have to worry about spending $25 or more for free shipping, one free e-book rental a month, and access to their Netflix-type streaming service.  If you use Amazon a lot anyway it's worth it.  If not, it's probably not.

  • thanks everyone! We are really trying to save some money in all areas and I was curious if we would with amazon.  Fortunately, a lot of people gave us diapers at our showers so we only had to buy newborn diapers a few times (we got a lot of 1's).  We are about to run out of our supply so I wanted to get a head start.
