Is it totally inappropriate to bring LO to a wake? My best friends gma passed and her wake is Friday. I'd like to go but I have no idea what to do with LO. It's really difficult for DH to leave work early. What do you think?

D has been to several wakes and funerals. I would bring something small to entertain LO and just be prepared to step out if LO gets upset.

I agree with PP that people really appreciate having happy little babies around.

I brought E to my grandfather's wake and funeral a few weeks ago. She did great and everyone (but especially my grandmother) was happy she was there.

I took Hannah to my Grandmothers wake back in Sept. she was 3.5 months. It was great to have her there and no one thought she was a distraction. Nice thing with a wake too is that you don't have to stay long. I say wake, yes. Funeral, no.
