car seat inspection

We went in for the inspection yesterday. Even though we read the manuals for the car and seat, our installation was wrong. The police officer had to actually cut part of a swimming noodle to get the base at the right angle!

It goes to show how important it is to get your installation checked, as 90% of people do it wrong.

    Couldn't agree more!  DH and I took both our cars since we had 2 bases and I am GLAD we did because the installation is different since my car is older and doesn't have the Latch system but his does.  The inspections are free so there shouldn't be any reason to not have it done Smile

    We were also given a piece of a water noodle for my car...and DH has leather seats so they gave him this mat to put on his seat so the base doesn't dig into the leather.  Where we live it's the Highway Patrol that does the inspections.

    DH took my car to be fitted and they had to prop the base with a folded towel to make it fit properly. I don't think we would have ever thought of that on our own.
