Baby Name Help

We are having the hardest time picking a name for our baby girl! I have always liked Maddox for a girl, even though it's mostly used for boys. However, I recently had a thought that if Maddox rises in popularity for boys then it would be like naming her Michael or Ryan, so I think I'm getting over the name now. My husband loves Madison, so I think we'll probably go with that. But we need help with middle names! I don't want to ask people I know personally and out our possible name to everyone, so I thought I'd ask here! So far, we have...

Madison Claire (my great-grandmother's name was Clarice)

Madison Eliza (my great-great grandmother's name)

Madison Reese

Any other suggestions? Our last name ends in "man", so I don't want the middle name to end in N.

  • They all sound lovely but I choose Madison Claire because I know more than one boy Madison and one girl Madison.  Reese could also be unisex.  Eliza is very classic but I like Claire better.

Madison Claire - Did you know your great grandmother, or know stories about her that make you want to honor her? I'm a huge fan of honoring a family member, but not just picking a name from your family tree that you like and calling it a family name.

I did know my great grandmother. She was a big part of my life as child and I would stay with her alot until she developed Alzheimer's. My aunt named her daughter Clarice after her and she goes by Clare (she's 13 now), but I think I like the spelling Claire better.

Eliza was my great-grandfather's mother. I didn't know her, but I was very close to him until he passed away. As the oldest, I am really the only great-grandchild out of 8 that remembers spending time with him.

Reese is just a name that we like.
