GTKY - how long?

Hi Ladies-

Thought I would start some of our time off here with a little GTKY poll!  I always liked doing these in TTGP....

So....how long did you try for pregnancy, from the time you decided you wanted a baby, to the time you are on this board?


Also, any stories of your journey thus far?

    this is lucky number 17 for us! we m/c'd back in november, so we are cautiously excited at this point!

    We had been trying for 23 cycles prior to this!!  I have not had any losses, and my heart goes out to those of you who have, but it was quite frustrating getting BFN over and over and over...  I feel so blessed right now!

    We'd been trying for 18 months. I never ovulated on my own though, and we had to take a break for a lap. 
    TTC #1 since 11/10 | Diagnosed with PCOS 11/28/11 | Lap 1/20/12: stage 2 endo & cyst removal
    Clomid- No response
    Metformin 1500 mg Femara 5mg + Trigger + TI Round 2 = BFP!
    Beta 13DPO: 115, Beta 16dpo: 561 BFP Chart

    Less than a month here. It was a complete surprise.  I had just removed the Mirena in April. My CD1 was April 29. Apparently a few weeks later, May 13, it all happened.

    We weren't really trying, but weren't preventing either. DH and i are super fertile apparently. My first was an oopsie. got baby 2 on the first month of trying, and baby 3 happened from just one time, and #4 happened from just one time. I guess we have some perfect timing or something. I do feel very blessed though. I know so many people who have such a hard time getting or staying pregnant, so it makes me extra thankful for being able to get pregnant easily and have pretty uncomplicated pregnancies carried to term. My heart goes out to all you ladies who have struggled to have a baby and to those who aren't able to have babies.

    I chose 8-12 cycles because I stopped taking BCP in May 2011. I did get pg and m/c'd in that time, though.

    We have been TTC since July 2010.  We did have a loss in that time so there were a few months where we weren't trying, but all in all it has been 22 months.

    A few months before we got pregnant with dd, we were told we couldn't get pregnant. Guess what! So, after she was born, we decided we would take our chances and see what happened. It took 17 months. We weren't "trying' perse, but we certainly weren't stopping anything either. It took 17 months from when I went off of bc til I got pregnant with dd too. That's my lucky number I guess.

    Well, I'm not really sure what to say since we weren't trying at all!! This was a complete surprise (read - accident, although I hate to call it that now as we are VERY excited). I have been on bc pills with no issues for 10 years and for whatever reason I forgot to start/open a new pill pack at the end of my last cycle and didn't realize it for a week and a half. Apparently that's all it takes!! :o)
