Has anyone NOT had a rude encounter?

I read quite frequently all of these stories about people (usually strangers) being unspeakably rude, commenting on belly size, weight, and such. I haven't had a stranger so much as mention the fact that I'm expecting. Has anyone else not had a rude encounter during their pregnancy?

Meh, I don't think I have. But then again, I'm not crazy about what people say to me either.

not too bad I guess. I had many customers think it was their place to ask when I first starting telling people if it was "planned", which is quite rude. As far as my size, it took a long time for me to look pregnant, so this AA from another department would go out of her way to ask how I was feeling and then say stuff as she was leaving like "are those doctors sure the baby's even growing...you should be big by now...." :-/

I haven't really had any rude comments. I mean, I have had a couple people surprised that I wasn't due within a week because I look like I'm going to pop, but those comments don't bother me at all.

I did have a cashier at the grocery store tell me that I had a beautiful belly! That was really sweet :-)

My mil called me chubby looking last night which pissed me off lol but I haven't had any rude stranger comments... People have been pretty nice.

I can't recall any, but based on some that have been posted, I have probably had a similar encounter at some point. I'm just not sensitive to it, so I probably forgot it 5 minutes after it happened. but majority of the comments I have received have been very positive and complimentary. Or I just choose to remember those lol!

Nothing rude, so far. I guess I've been pretty lucky, based on some experiences I've been reading. It baffles me how rude complete strangers (or even family!) can be.

I did have one time where a random woman in a minivan stopped next to me in a parking lot while I was walking and tell me I was "the cutest pregnant lady ever" which made my day Big Smile It's nice to know there are still some genuinely nice people in the world.

I've been pretty lucky, to be honest! I've only had 1 stranger ask me about the pregnancy, and she was nice about it (she was also drunk because we were in a pub

). The only somewhat rude comments were made by one of my co-workers at the beginning, when she would tell everyone that you could tell I was carrying a girl because my face was all puffy (it never puffed up, so I'm not sure where she was seeing this?). Although, she was convinced that she was just stating the obvious, and not trying to be mean at all. My grandma also tried to say something mean about my weight gain, but I didn't give her enough info to do it (she's EXTREMELY appearance-focused and really critical of just about everyone for just about everything. She tried to find out how much I've gained, but I knew that if I told her she would tell me I was gaining way too much even if I wasn't). Otherwise, though, no rude comments here either!

Nope, no rude comments. I've just had an old man stare at my belly and shake his head as if to say I was too young to be pregnant. I just laughed, I know I look younger than I am, but I'm almost 30, so I'd say I'm old enough to have a child.

No, I haven't. I don't think I have in any of my pregnancies, in fact. People might ask how far along I am, if it's my 1st, etc, but nothing rude or out of the ordinary. This pregnancy especially, because I am ALL belly, I've had a few women (strangers at the park, moms at DSs school, etc) comment that I must be having a boy, but that's it.

None here, but then again I let a lot just roll off my shoulder. It really takes something very direct/personal to get my feathers flustered.

My MIL asked once how much weight I had gained (I didn't answer) and my massage lady asked if I was carrying twins (didn't offend me, she was 3 months along herself and was one of those tiny little girls- probably was scared she was going to get that big!) and I heard a woman at a bridal shower I went to over the weekend say loudly to another guest "who is that big pregnant lady?" That was sort of rude, I guess, but I knew this particular guest a little so I wasn't surprised at her tactless remark.

Mostly I get the "how far along are you?" comment. Nothing really rude, and nothing from complete strangers!

I've only had a couple rude comments so I can't really complain. This past weekend when DH and I went to the movies and a little old lady asked when I was due and I said this Friday. She said I looked too small to be due so soon. That wasn't rude but then she went in for the belly touch....that was the rude part! Tongue Tied

I never had one with my son's pregnancy or this one.

In fact I have only had positive experiences with people being extra nice to me. Offering to carry my bags, opening doors, telling me how nice I look etc. I think pregnancy brings out the niceness in people.

I have not had any rude comments, but lots of when is your baby due or you must be getting close comments.

I really haven't had any rude encounters from anyone I don't know. There is one guy at work who used to constantly comment about "are you sure its not twins" etc and I finally let him have it and told him he should never talk to a pregnant woman like that. He hasn't said a thing since
