Not a cheerful day at our house - need Father's Day Ideas!

DD had quite the tummy ache last night and was up every hour. Every time she fell asleep, she lasted all of 10-20 min in the crib. I'm on VERY little sleep today - as is she - so we're cranky. DH found out today that the position he put in for was filled today - by a girl who does didly at their job (she's just been there a LONG time...because she does didly!) So now he's insisting he's going to stop busting his rump, since that's apparently how you get promoted around there. So with his bad mood - he is going to the movies tonight - with or without me he said haha. I told him last night I didn't want to send DD to my MIL's because I have to do that tomorrow for my meeting. I go back to work in a few weeks and I want to soak up every spare moment before its gone.Looks like she's goin to grandmas!

 Anyway - I know that this bad mood about the job is going to be sticking around for a little while - so I want to surprise him with something awesome for father's day (if not earlier). What are some things you are doing? We are on a REAL tight budget too - so if anyone is in the same boat? TIA

    I'm getting DH a new grill, which might not be an option on a tight budget. I was also thinking of making him a calendar on Shutterfly with pictures of DD. He likes planning and calendars and such, and he likes pictures of our daughter, so I figured that would be a cheap win-win. You might be able to find coupons on the boards, too. Seems like people are always posting those.

    Idea per pinterest we are doing, I got DH's handprint in black paint on a canvas a couple of weeks ago, and when my sister-in-law can help, we are doing DS's in white on Daddy's hand print!  It is coming out adorable!!  :]
