I wish I were a State employee...

... so I could sit on my thumbs and get paid.

DCSS still has not sent the interstate action to TN like they were supposed to do last month.  Still.  And now XH is once again requesting a modification.  For those of you keeping count, this is request #4 since November.  So my interstate action that I started back in frigging December is on the back-burner while they twiddle their thumbs and wait to see if XH actually turns in his paperwork for the modification this time.  Keep in mind, he has 30 days to turn it in.  And once June 1st hits, they have to update the accounting that goes along with the interstate action.

Re: I wish I were a State employee...

  • that is absolutely ridiculous! I agree, in our state as well they are VERY slow.  our attorney filed a motion to go to court in march... we're a few days away from June and have not heard a peep from the court, or our attorney.  its like they have their own timeline/ agenda for stuff like this that is in super slow motion.

  • I'm sad to say I am not surprised. One of my friends BioF to her son used to move to a new state every two years to avoid paying c/s. That was how long it would take our state to work with the new state and a ganishment issued. So he would move and she would have to start all over again. Her son is now 17 and she gave up. She just gets his tax return every year (probably till the end of time). I hope it gets better.

I will be in the same boat.  Unless DCSS finally sends the paperwork to TN.  Then they can obtain a Judgment against him and attach a lien on his house and start taking away some assets.  I don't plan on giving up, I really think he needs to face some consequences for his all around jackassery.
