Anyone care to share how you will be setting up LO sleeping situation in your small room (if you have one). Our house was built in 1956, so our Master is pretty much the same size room as every other room in the house. Our queen size mattress takes up a lot of the room. And our closet space is a joke. This is one of the final things to do before baby. Hopefully you ladies will have some ideas.... TIA!
Re: Small bedroom...
I assume you mean for the first couple of months when LO will be in with you.
Can you move a nightstand or two and stick in a mini co-sleeper? That's really all you need in your room with you. The co-sleeper has nice storage underneath for diapers, wipes, etc. If you have room for the rocker or small changing table, great. If not, it's not a huge deal to walk down the hallway.
Our changing table will actually sit in the hallway vestbule area for the first few months. That way, I can use it for DD or LO, regardless of who is sleeping.
We have two really small bedrooms in our place. We got a Fisher Price Rock n Play for baby to sleep next to me for the first few months. It folds in half, so the storage isn't too bad.
In the baby's room, we got a dresser and stuck the changing pad on top of that. We put a crib and a rocking chair in there, too. That's about all that will fit! A lot of baby stuff is stored under the crib and it's crowded, but I think it will work for LO.
