We have our first overnighter on Friday

I'm already betting I'm going to want to get him in the middle of the night. DH has been really wanting to do it for a while and I've been dragging my feet. Any Momma's already given LO away for the night?

Re: We have our first overnighter on Friday

  • We havent done this yet - we do in 2 weeks though. I may leave after the wedding, leaving DH at the hotel. She's starting to not STTN out of nowhere and doesn't take bottles - so rather it being an emotional thing - it's more a mandatory thing for us.

  • We haven't  yet... my mom keeps insisting, and I would definitely trust her, but I don't want her to have to get up with him.  If I had to though, I would- try to enjoy yourself! Last week DH and I went to a Phillies game and we even tailgated before- it was a lot of fun and nice to remember things as just the two of us.

  • I had to leave LO for three nights when I was admitted into the hospital for emergency gallbladder surgery. They were the worst! Luckily my husband was able to stay with him, so that helped.

I think we're going to leave him with my parents overnight on Saturday so we can go to a birthday party that will run late. We'll see :)

  • No, we haven't yet. It'll probably be a while before we do because I'd feel bad for whoever had to watch her at night. Who knows if she would STTN, and I don't want someone else having to get up to take care of her. I've been told that I don't let others help enough though, so it's probably a personal problem Smile

  • I don't know if "had to" is the right phrasing...

I have left my LO overnight several times with my mom.  Even tho he sleep through the night, I want to stay up late with my hubby sometimes since I barely see him (he works FT and PT jobs).

My mom does live right across the street tho.
