Since it is a quiet, I will give a run down of my weekend full of comments and pregnant people for your amusement (or not..)
1) Went for a pedicure on Friday and was faced with a very pregnant technician and another pg customer. There was also a sign up offering PG massage. I was also reading my kindle and low and behold the character turned out to be KU'd unexpectedly of course. So much for my relaxation..
2) Had to listen to friends of my sister drone on and on about their kids and what kind of legacy they would have when they died. My sister was cringing for me at least and I had to keep my sunglasses on to not show tears. I guess you have no legacy if you have no kids according to them
3) A friend told me how another friend has declared that she'd "never" do any IF intervention if she can't have kids. If you can't have them, you should just accept that. Great, thanks. (what I want to say to her is you aren't even married at 39 and of course you don't think IF will happen to you. No one ever thinks it will be them and it is easy to make declarations until you've lived this...)

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

Ughhh - I love it when people are so adamant about what they would or would not do when they've never been in a certain situation.
My friend who came to visit this weekend (who never suffered from IF) said she bit someone's head off the other day for saying they would never do IVF. She flat out told her "Until you've been there, don't say what you would or wouldn't do - you don't know what you'd be willing to do until you're in that situation." It made me feel good that she stood up for people going through IF even though she's never been through it herself.

People totally suck. Even those, like our closest friends, seem to find a way to just suck!
Our extremely fertile friends visited this weekend. Lots of comments about "so and so don't have kids, so they don't get it." Or "so and so don't have kids, so it's weird because it's like their dogs are their children." And I got a 20 minute description of the most recent birth story. Depressing. I'm sooooo sorry you had the same kind of weekend. Screw 'em!

I thought that I would never pursue IF treatments but I couldn't imagine not doing it. I hate when people make comments like that. It's perfectly natural to want to have a baby of your own and no matter what people say, we are not crazy for wanting to do just that.
When people say "Oh just adopt." I tell them "It is just as hard, expensive and heart wrenching to adopt as it is to pursue IF treatments."
Ugh comments indeed! Sometimes I can't stand people and their inability to think before speaking. Press the mute button on your microphone please people!!!

FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!
