Umbilical Cord Question

My LO's umbilical cord fell off when she was only 7 days old. There was a bit left at the base of her belly button. I left all alone. It seems that the rest is going to fall off soon but this morning on the inside of her swaddle pod -- there was dried blood. Should this constitute a call to the pediatrician? Or should I not worry? It does not have any odd odor to it.

We were told dried blood is to be expected, but puss or a bad smell or a lot of blood to call. But it never hurts to call!

DD's cord did the same thing (except it was bright red blood). She had me swab it with alcohol.

I had dried blood inside the onsies for awhile. We were told to just leave it alone and not worry unless there is puss or a foul smell.

With DD her cord did the same thing. It fell off after about a week and some days. Part of it was still on. It did bleed a little, also had what seemed to be some puss like junk with it. However it was not red, hot or anything like that. We just kept it clean and it all eventually cleared up.

With DS his is still on but has been leaving some brown old blood looking stuff on the inside of his onesies. I am not worried as it looks to be like it is drying out and does not appear to be infected.
