TTC after 35

RE consult tomorrow

So I called the RE's office who helped me conceive my first, and they have an opening for a consult tomorrow afternoon.  I was expecting to wait at least a few weeks like last time, but I think that may have been because there are limited consult times for new patients and now I'm considered a returning patient.

It is a good feeling that I'll be able to get started sooner rather than later.

It was a pleasant surprise to get in tomorrow, I think I waited a month last time.

Especially because yesterday evening when I checked my mail, there was a letter from my ob/gyn stating she has moved to a hospital setting full time and no longer sees clinic patients...I've been going to her for almost 10 years.  I was planning on asking her about a script for progesterone post-o this next cycle while I waiting to get into the RE just so I could try something.

What I do remember the last time I worked with this RE was things did move fast once I got in.  But my issues are different this time.  Last time I wasn't ovulating at all.  This time I can't seem to stay pregnant...not to mention I'm 3 years older.  So we'll see how it goes.

  • Congratulations on getting in so early-- rock ON, RE! I'm sure this RE is going to be a huge help-- it's his/her job to get you KU and staying KU for the full 9-10 months, and s/he did such a good job the first time, I'm sure this 2nd go-round will be successful, too!

Let us know how it goes!
