This isn't morbid curiosity, I promise, but how much have you guys gained? What about your partner? I've gained about 38 lbs so far and for the past month have been packing on about 2 lbs a week. My goal was to not gain more than 30, but I'm trying to let the idea go and just focus on eating as healthily as possible. DH has gained about 40. If we hadn't each lost 50 last year I'd be worried, but I believe we can get back on track and not be the Fattersons by the time our LO is old enough to develop good eating habits.

Re: Weight gain
Ive gained 25 by the OBs calculations but I think I gained a few lbs before my 8 wk visit so for me its more like 28 lbs at this point.
With DS I gained 32 lbs total
with DD I gained 25 total.
DH doesnt usually gain while Im pregnant, he is approx 5-10 lbs from his weight when we met.
I dont worry about the weight gain anymore since I have lost 25 lbs in 3 wks with each child just nursing all the time. BY month 3 I am back to my prepreg and pre wedding weight.
Yikes! Normally I would feel jealousy over a statement like that, but I know that couldn't have been in any way fun for you. I hope you are feeling better!
I have gained 30lbs on the nose. With DD, I gained 30-35lbs. I'm not terribly worried about it. With DD, the weight was gone really quickly with the BFing, then it was just skin and flab to deal with. I was going to have that no matter how much weight I gained.
I try to eat healthy, but I'm not passing on an desserts, either. Happy medium.
Here I am to make everyone feel better about themselves.
I have gained FIFTY. Yes, 5-0. FIFTY.
DH has gained zero, and as of 2 pounds ago I am now officially heavier than him. Which is the one mark I REALLY didn't want to pass . . .
I still have nausea once in a while but it's wayyyyyyyy better now lol Thanks for the concern though
Married Bio * BFP Charts
Exactly this for me:)
I'm up 7 lbs. from pre-pregnancy weight, but I had lost 15+ in the first and second tri from nausea. DH is exactly the same.
We're going out for wings tonight, so maybe I might have to change this post tomorrow!
I've gained like 35. I wanted to be under 30 as well, but that obviously didn't happen. Oh well. I'm trying not to stress about it...hopefully it comes off pretty quickly. Fingers crossed! My husband hasn't gained any.
I have also gained 50. The OB says 10-20lbs is edema in my legs and will go away w/in 2 weeks. I also am carrying a big IVF baby, so I had to shoot up hormones for months.
DH has lost 10lbs. In the past month he got very sick w/ the flu and then injured at work. He is so upset w/ himself for losing muscle mass. I keep reminding him that both of our bodies will return to normal in the coming months.
Yeah, the water weight can be crazy. You'll wake up one morning and say "holy crap, I have bones again." It's a weird, but kind of awesome feeling.
27 lbs this time.
45 lbs last time.
If you gain tons at the end, chalk it up to water weight. Water weight is easy to lose...

Right there with you! I'm literally 1 pound away from outweighing DH which is really depressing because he's over a foot taller than me and I'm normally very petite.
I still think those who have gained a lot don't show up on these threads on the bump because there are so many people who report low or normal weight gain (and good for you ladies, I wish I was in your boat!) but when I talk to people in RL, a lot of ladies gain way more than the recommended amount.
I've gained 40lbs but nobody can figure out where it is. My belly is pretty small for 39 weeks, people think i'm about 6 months along, my face hasn't gotten chubby, my legs have gotten a little bigger but i've gone up maybe a pant size or two.
I don't know. It's there somewhere.
I DO outweigh my SO by about 25 pounds.
I started at 156lbs and now i'm 197lbs... so close to 200... if that makes anybody feel better hahahaa
I've gained about 40, with a large portion of that having come from late 2nd tri to now. I also have some pretty serious swelling, so I'm thinking/hoping much of that is water weight.
ETA: DH has gained about 10 lbs, but given my gain I now outweigh him.

At my last appointment I was holding steady at 35lbs. I gained 37lbs with DD and was really hoping not to go over 30 with this one. Oh well. I lost 26 of it during the first 6 weeks last time through breastfeeding and losing the water weight. Hopefully, I'll be as lucky this time.
DH hasn't gained an ounce since he was 16. Since he only weighs 145lbs, I passed him up a LONG time ago.
I'm right there with you. I have no idea where the weight is b/c I don't look like I gained that much but I'm also tall so that helps. I hope lots of it's water weight and my dr thinks it is based on when I gained and when my swelling started.
I've gained 44 pounds, but I chalk mine up to cookies...
Good times!
I'm trying really hard not to think about how much I've gained. I don't keep track of the doctor's scale-it's different than ours, so I just quickly write the number down, give the post-it to the nurse and forget it. I have no idea where I started with them, and they haven't said anything about gaining too much.
On our scale, I'm probably up about 40 pounds-I never look at it because it makes me feel so awful. I wanted to keep under 35, but I eat like crap, so it's to be expected. I'm looking forward to taking it off after Baby comes-I'm use to being athletic and knowing exactly how to get a few pounds off if my pants feel tight. I feel totally out of control at the moment and so I'm focusing a lot on my plan of attack once it's over. Everyone tells me I look really good for 36 weeks-one older guy at a leather store yesterday seemed REALLY surprised I was so far along-so I'll take that as a good sign. But the fact that I can't fit in to any of the maternity pants I've been given because my ass/thighs are too big is NOT a good sign. I'll weigh myself once before getting in the car for the hospital when I start labor so I know what my starting point is for loosing weight, but that will be the only time I step on my personal scale again before this baby is born.
I'm scheduling my mommy make-over day tomorrow, even though it won't be until September. I have a sprint triathlon I want to do the weekend before (Sept. 9), even if I'm crawling to the finish line, and it will be my motivation to drop the weight and get active again. Dh hasn't put on any weight that I can notice, although he's always complaining about his weight. He's very petite, so I feel he's smaller than me in size normally. So I would never compare our weights-that would make me feel terrible (I think he wants to be 145 and he's around 154 right now-I was 147 before pregnancy and would love to be 135 with muscle).

I've gained somewhere between 25 and 30. I was 20 pounds heavier than normal to begin with, though, so I'm looking forward to slimming down after baby!
