what do your lo's sleep in?

my 4 month old son sleeps in cotton footed jammies. His nursery is upstairs so it is slightly stuffy up there-especially since it is HOT down here in NC  already. I keep his ceiling fan on low but he seems clammy at night when i check on him and feed him. I feel like he would be cold just a onesie (we set our AC on 72/73ish) but the jammies seem like too much lately....obviously i don't want blankets and a bunch of stuff in his crib at night either...what do you ladies dress your kiddos in for bedtime?

  • A onsie with Fleece footed pajamas or a fleece long sleeve sleep bag over.  I keep our air at 70 degrees and he is cold if I dress him lighter.  Even now his little hands are cold, but I can't sleep at all if the house is warmer.

  • long sleeve footed jammies and a sleep sack. I keep the air at 68-69 or I get too hot.
  • Just a diaper and her miracle blanket for now - she has eczema and trying to keep her cool.  We keep the house at 74-76 at night.

  • A onesie or other short leg and sleeve thingy.

  • I live in GA so it is miserably hot here. DD wears a onesie and is swaddled plus a very light blanket to cover her. Our air is set at 68 at night. She was too hot in regular pajamas because she has to be swaddled.
  • If it's really hot we do a onsie or just a diaper depending.  On cooler nights we do long sleeve footie pj's.  Plus a swaddle blanket, but he usually busts out of that anyway.

We switch between sleep sacks with a onesie underneath, the long sleeved sleep sacks with just a dipe underneath, and just footed sleepers. Tonight, however, she fell asleep in just her onesie... So that's what she's sleeping in. I tucked a blanket around her legs. (shame on me, i know.) I always worry she's cold, but if I dress her warm, she's a little sweat ball by the time she wakes up.

  • My sons nursery is also upstairs.  He wears long sleeve footed light cotton pajamas. I have a tower fan beside his crib facing parallel to the crib but not on him directly. Used for white noise and to keep it cooler up there.

DS sleeps upstairs, and runs hot like DH. He sleeps in a short sleeved onesie and a sleeveless cotton sleepsack. We keep the air around 74 up there, and he also has a ceiling fan going. Sometimes his hands are cold, but if we put him in anything heavier, he wakes up sweaty.

My LO will usually just sleep in a onesie because he loves his blankets.

He's a furnace. If I put him in anything other than a onesie at night, he sweats like crazy.

  • Our daughter sleeps in one of those nightgowns with the elastic at the bottom (alas, she's about to grow out of the ones we have and we're having a devil of a time finding them in sizes above 6 mo.), a pair of socks, and then when we put her to bed she's in a swaddle sack. We have a couple of the fleece swaddle sacks for cold nights, and ones made out of t-shirt type material for warm nights.

  • Those one-piece PJs - sometimes with feet, sometimes without - with just a diaper, no onesie underneath.  Most are a light cotton.  We have our AC going already due to allergies, so it is pretty cool in our room.
