I think N hates it really. If you plunk him down in the yard on his butt, he won't move. If you stand him there, he'll try and sit without putting his hands on the grass. If you put him down in crawl position, he'll get up on his feet and one hand and be super hesitant about putting the other hand down. He reminds me of a cat on aluminum foil. What is up with this? Do your kids do this? I sure hope he gets over it!

Re: Does your kiddo do ok on grass?
My DD loathes grass! If you go to put her down on it standing her legs go up like she's a gymnast. It's pretty comical. We had her 1 year pics done and she kept falling over b/c she was lifting her legs up and she didn't want to put her hand on the grass to support herself. I keep trying to expose her to it so that she comes around.
She also did it this weekend at the pool for the first time...didn't want to touch the concrete edge with her hands and was hesitant with the concrete ground. Glad I am not the only one!
Cat on aluminum foil is the perfect description!!!!
Haha, yes!! It's like an open PnP!
E hated it at first. She would flip out when I put her down. But now she loves it and has no problem playing, crawling etc in it.
This, exactly! I love that he stays on the porch because he doesn't like the feel of the grass.

This is DH trying to set DS in the grass....
My LO has always been the opposite, he'll pull up the blanket to get to the grass and dirt. Definitely not a pack n play!
Is it bad that my first thought from the title was 'well I think it's a little early o introduce drugs, :-b
This. DS takes off like marathoner and it's hard to catch up with him.
this is our situation too. dd2 loves grabbing handfuls of grass, and then they go right into the mouth.
