Belly button piercing?

Hi Ladies,

I figure at some point in the coming months I am going to have to take out my belly button piercing.  Is there anything that I can put in it that will be comfortable yet keep the piercing open?

I'm just a few days shy of 15 weeks now and don't need it yet, but within the next month or two I'm sure I'll want to take my current one out.  Just wondering what you ladies suggest.

    My OB said that there is no reason to take it out (each doctor might be different tho) however for a more comfortable ring she suggested a pregnancy spacer or something like that. They are silicone and long so they stretch. There are a few websites that sell them. I just googled "Belly Button Spacers for pregnancy"

    I finally took mine out at 19 weeks, but I got some maternity belly rings on ebay.  Haven't put them in yet, but they seem like they'd keep it open until after baby.

    I took mine out with DS around 28 weeks because I thought it looked weird.  I've kept it out for nearly three years now because I gained weight after he was born and I don't feel the need to draw attention to my flab.  I was 17 when I got it pierced and a size three.  I'm 33 now, so... the appeal to put it back in is less.  We'll see how much weight I lose and if I change my mind!

    At bodycandy.com, they have pregnancy belly button rings.  I got a cute one that says "baby on board".  It's flexible and very comfortable.  I plan to keep it in for the entire pregnancy.  I've had my belly button pierced for about 11 years now and my tummy looks weird without anything there, I'm not giving it up.

    I'm 20 weeks today, and haven't yet felt the need to remove it; though I keep saying I need to find a maternity ring, 'cause I don't want to have to lose it!

    This is off topic but I had my belly button pierced when I turned 18 and the scar from it looks ridiculous now that my belly is getting stretched.

    I took mine out at like 9 weeks. No use in having it now, I could care less if it closes up or not. I'm going to be a mom, so no need for piercings anymore. I also took my piercing out of my ear in my cartilage..
