A friend of mine just suffered her 5th m/c. She took 3 days of heparin shots, but miscarried. Does anyone know why heparin? I obviously don't want to ask her
Thanks ladies. I want to be there for her, but it's hard to know what to say. I just want to give her a big hug.
I'm sure she would appreciate a number of big hugs. And if you don't know what to say to make her "feel better", it's totally ok to say that too. Sometimes that meant more to me than a platitude someone threw my way just so they had something to say. I think it's very sweet of you to try and understand what she is going through. Just listen to her, and be there for her in any way that you can.

I agree with Petra. Over a month later, my good friend (that was my MOH at my wedding) has yet to say anything to me. And I'm not sure that I can get over how much that hurts. There's no magical thing you can say that will make her feel better, so just be there to listen. My heart goes out to your friend.

I am sorry and this just sucks are definitely the way to go. I also had a friend come over the day after my D&C and she just asked a ton of questions, for me it helped. It made me feel like she was interested in hearing about things and I was able to talk it out without getting some dumb "it was fate" response. I am so sorry for your friend's loss.
I am so sorry for your friends loss. I agree with all PP before me. Please don't say anything cliche-like, just hug her and tell her you are sorry and make sure she knows your are there for her. You are a great friend though!
