Ta-da! Asiago cheese bread! I used all your tips and it turned out pretty well - soft on the inside, pretty good rise, and crunchy outside. Our house smelled so good.
Now - another problem - how do you store the bread? I wrapped one loaf in foil and put it in a freezer bag, then in the freezer for later. I put the other half (we ate half last night) in a ziploc bag and into the bread box.
At least something worked this weekend....
Re: * Danieleandwayne and other bread helpers *
I don't have any advice on how to store the bread, I just wanted to say how yummy it looks and how it's making me hungry and it's not even lunch time!!
First of all-- your asiago bread looks delicious!
My sandwich bread recipe is a lot of work, so I tend to make large batches and freeze the loaves. What works best for me, is to take old bread bags from store-bought bread, put the fresh loaf in the bread bag, then put that in a freezer bag.
Usually that does the trick. If I know the bread will be in the freezer for a while, I will wrap the bread first in some Press 'n Seal, then put the loaf in the bread bag and then in the freezer bag.
Basically-- you want some layers to protect the bread from freezer burn.
If anyone has a more novel idea, I'm certainly willing to learn!

I just wanted to say that looks amazing! Yum! I usually just wrap it well with plastic wrap then wrap it in foil.
I made two loaves of zucchini bread this weekend, just had some for breakfast

I was actually planning on making bread tonight and was wondering if anyone wanted to share their recipe.
As for keeping the bread from going stale. I live in a very arid climat, at a high altitude, I tried everything and the thing I found that works best store it in the microwave. (Obviously not turned on). I figure, it has to have a fairly airtight seal and the bread doesn't dry out.
I hate frozen bread, so I don't freeze anything that's already baked, but I do put my uncooked doughs in the freezer. (pie, buns and pizza doughs)
