TTC After a Loss

Looked in the blog and can't find it...question for those who lost tube

Ok, so I swear I looked through the blog, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I had surgery Friday evening to remove my left tube. Sunday, right before being discharged from the hospital, I started bleeding. I was expecting it, the surgery basically "reset" my body. How long (and I know everyone is different), did those who had a tube removed, bleed? I just want to have an idea. No I'm not bleeding through a pad in an hour, having serious cramps or passing super clots (all those I know would be bad), it's just like a regular AF. Thanks in advance!

  • I figured it was the wrong post...although I will admit I started looking through my post to make sure I didn't post anything insulting.

mlal78: Thanks. I'm hoping the bleeding will go away soon...I seriously hate pads, even if they are the awesome Always Infinity ones. I still feel like I'm wearing a freaking diaper.

  • I had light spotting starting the day after surgery for 5 days. Then AF arrived on the 6th day, it was heavier than normal but not terribly so. I had 3 days of "heavy" bleeding, and 3 more of light/spotting. It wasn't that much different than a regular AF other than I rarely have more than 1 day of heavy bleeding and usually none.

I had a normal period a couple of days after my tube was removed. So I would guess it will be like that, but could be a little heavier.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

I have not had a tube removed but I just wanted to say, thank you for trying to look at the blog and I'm sorry you're going through this.  I hope you feel better very soon!

    ((hugs))

I agree! I just re-read the blog recently (don't want to commit a faux pas with all the sh!tstorms in the past 48 hours!!) and didn't see anything about removed tubes either.

Don't hesistate to call your doc with ANY questions about bleeding. Actually, they might like to hear that you're doing ok :)

  • First off, I want to say I am so sorry that you had to go through this! (HUGS)

I bled for 11 days before my L tube ruptured, so once they removed it and cleaned me out I think I bled for maybe a day, maybe two. I dont think I had anything left, LOL. AF showed up about 6 weeks after the surgery.

Again, I am so sorry this happened to you!
