Medical Question--Possible TMI

I am calling the doctor, but want to check in if I'm over-reacting before I do so.

Saturday evening I got really sick, thought I had a touch of a stomach bug and it carried over into Sunday. Also Sunday morning my first PP period started and was really heavy. I was pretty much glued to the couch.

Monday still nauseated and lightheaded, still heavy (like saturating a super tampon in less than 3 hours). Today, the same.

No one else in my family, including my parents have gotten sick. We've all been eating the same things so I don't think it's food poisioning.

Can my period make me this sick? I remember my first PP AF with DD being awful in terms of cramps and PMS--but not like this. Anyone experience anything similar?

i am sorry, that sounds awful. is there any possibility you could be having a miscarriage?

Are you BF? I would be concerned about hydration if you can't take much in. Otherwise, i don't know what a doctor could do for you. I would not call at this point. I am hope you feel better Sad

Thankfully there is no possibility of a miscarriage.

I am BFing, and have been drinking water/gatorade and eating popsicles, despite them going through me. Although, I do think my production is down as LO wants to nurse frequently, and nursing makes me feel lightheaded. :-(

Definitely call the doc and stay hydrated. The blood loss could just be making you woozy. I gave blood a couple months ago and it totally wiped me out. It's just too much combined with BFing. Nursing has also made me lightheaded when I'm dehydrated. Hope you feel better.
