A girl I went to high school with just announced her SIXTH pregnancy, yes, SIXTH (spare in mind, I'm only 21) she just posted the pee stick with the phrase "well, looks like my birth control failed again, oh well, praying for another girl" (her first 5 are all girls) of course she's not married (not that I have anything against single moms, but come on....), has no job, and uses MY taxpayer money for her food (I understand the benefits of food stamps, if you ARE working and STILL struggling to make ends meet).... so I got that pg announcement to deal with, on top of, one of DH's friend's wife is having her baby today and of course he thinks we should go up there.... I really don't want to considering we are going to see docs to try and GET pg and she has to do is shake her vag a certain way and she's pg.... ugh, glad after today, I'm off work for 2 days.... have a great day girls!! love y'all!! eta: cd1 for me as well....

I can't stand it when girls like this have lots of children...makes me want to go slap some sense into them...this truly stinks...Good Luck if you end up going to the hospital...

Holy.Shitballs. That is craziness. Lately I've been wondering if I started doing crack or did something to seriously start screwing up my life if that would give me my sticky baby. Seems to be how it works sometimes.

And I definitely wouldn't want to go to the hospital. He can go on his own and say you have a cold, or had to work, or ANYTHING. Sorry you have so much crap hitting you on one day

I understand your frustration completely. I hate how unfair life can be....

My friend's sister is pregnant again (she's 17, had her first at 16). She's unmarried, which I'm like you and have nothing against it except she and her FI break up all the time. I'm not so sure you should be making babies when you can't stay together. And she just stopped smoking after her a/s. Really? UGH.

Jeez Louise! Someone needs to look into permanent birth control. 6 kids that young?! Yikes. I'm all for big families if you can afford them, but not situations like this. And going to the hospital? I told my DH this very same thing the other day. I said that maybe if we turned trashy we would probably get pg real easy. he looked at me like I'd lost it.

she had her 1st when we were in high school at 15 (got pg at 14 had the baby shortly after her 15th bday, also 9th grade year) she was pg with her 3rd at graduation.... and I think I will be sending DH to the hospital by himself, I feel selfish, but I don't think I can handle it....

I am so sorry! I have two "friends" who had girls this weekend and neither can afford the kids they already have much less more. One is constantly on FB asking for free childcare for her three boys (1, 2, and 3 yrs old). It ticks me off. Maybe if we go move in with my parents and we let them pay all our bills for awhile we can get KU.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It really does seem unfair that people who don't have their life together at all seem to get pregnant so easily and have stress-free pregnancies. I'm sorry you have to deal with both of the announcement and the birth today. :-(

And as for feeling selfish about not going to the hospital, don't. You deserve to take care of yourself and if that means not going to visit a friend of a friend in the hospital, so be it.
