These are my top choices for a girl name. There is no reason that they all start with a V other than they seem to be the names I'm drawn to this time around.
Older brother is Caleb Michael and there are two angel sisters that were named Evelyn Iris and Lilah Mae. Middle name will be after one of our mothers. Either Olivia (mil) or Dawn (my mother).
Also, my name is Kira, pronounced like Keira. Do you think that Vera sounds too close to my name?

Violet Olivia sounds beautiful IMO!
I think Vera might be a little too close to your name, sorry.

Vera rhyming with Kira would bother me.
I'm giving the edge to Viola Dawn, but Violet Olivia is beautiful too.
I agree with all of this.

Thanks for the input ladies!
I was afraid that Vera would be too close to my name. It's our first choice, but I think that you all have just confirmed that it's off the table because the rhyme is pretty obvious.
Violet is actually a family name on my side. It's the name of my great grandmother's sister. My great grandmother was Myra Cora, and I don't like Myra and Cora also sounds too close to my name for my taste so Violet was the next name that I liked. (The names we used as middle names for our twins were our grandmother's middle names.)
Viola I like, but ultimately it was my answer/alternative to the popularity of Violet.
As far as out mother's names and if there would be hard feelings, I haven't ruled out using them both as middle names if I can't avoid hurt feelings.
Again, thank you everyone for your opinions. Violet is definitely back at the top of our list as a front runner for a girl.
Love all three (our daughter will be named Violet so I am biased!)
I do think that Vera sounds too much like your name, though I love the name.
