LO's first tooth just poked through his gums today. When should he get fussy? Should I expect it to start today? Tonight? Tomorrow? I have his teething ring cooling off in the fridge and a washcloth in the freezer waiting for him.
I would actually think that the most painful part of it (the tooth making it through the gumline) would be over with. Does it look like the tooth isn't quite all the way through or it's done? Good luck!
Also.. I was thinking of doing this with LO, since he's on solids.... if your LO likes bananna I would put one in the freezer for 30 min or so (til it's really cool but not hard frozen... like a fidgesicle).... might help soothe the gums and be a treat for your LO to chew on!
If the tooth has broke through already he most likely won't get fussy. Some babies handle teething just fine.
DD1 was only fussy for her eye teeth and one 2 year molar, the rest came in with no complaints. DD2 just got her first tooth and the 2nd should be in any day now. She has only made a goofy face and chewed her finger, no fuss.
Sweet, thanks gals! That's what DH said but I don't believe anything he says that's baby related since i know he's just talking out of assumptions. The tooth tip is all the way out, but only barely. There's just a white line on top of the gums. I was expecting sleepless nights and constant crying. He woke up crying a couple of night ago and was miserable for about 2 hours but since then he's been fine. Maybe that's when it happened. He never lets me look at his gums so it could have come in a week and a half ago and I wouldn't know.
