i first felt ds tooth about 2 days ago. you can see/feel the very tip..how long does it normally take to come all the way out? also, when he is done teething, do i have to sleep train all over again?!!

It varies a lot, depending on the tooth that's coming in and depending on the baby. It could take days, weeks, even months.

My LO's 2 bottoms came in at the same time, and from the time they cut they were completely out within 3wks or so. This was almost 4m ago, and there's no sign of any other teeth at all.

Idk about the sleep training, once the teeth stop bothering him he might go back to sleeping great again. You just have to wait and see.

The length of time all depends on the child. DS has 8 teeth all at different levels in his mouth. The first tooth he cut at 5.5 months is still not quite out completely and the one he cut at 6.5 months was a completely out a week later. Once it's cut through the gum though the crankiness usually subsides. As for the sleep training, we haven't done that yet so I'm not much help.
