DD loves water soooo much!

DD has been to the beach and liked to watch the water and has always loved baths but I was unsure about her reaction to pools and/or the river. She LOVES her baby pool and has figured out how to splash which she thinks is hilarious. Then we put her in her float and took her into the river which I was sure she would hate... NOPE! she was so happy just watching the water and splashing around. Tomorrow we try the big pool in her float :-)

Also, LO "haha" laughed for the first time today. She has been excited shrieking and whatnot for weeks but this is her first REAL laugh and it was the most amazing sound I have ever heard! Almost cried :-)

  • We took DD into the pool for the first time too and she loved it! She wouldn't splash like in her bath tub - just kinda sat there while I held her - but she smiled and talked with me so she wasn't scared. And she got a bath after (since it's a public pool), which is her favorite thing EVER - so she got 2 fun things in one day! The child has not stopped gabbing in excitement!

  • What float are you using? We are going to the river for 4th of July weekend. I would love to take Jorge "swimming".

  • What kind of float are you using? The ones I see are for 6 months and up. I need to find something, my oldest DD is on a swim team so we will be at a pool every morning this June. I want to put the baby in the pool too.

  • We got one from BRU that is for like 9-24 months so it is too big. We tied the mesh thing at the bottom up so she sits higher. We just used a hairtie but wrapped around a million times and it didn't even budge. Of course I never took my hands off her just in case but it worked great. It is the one with the mesh at the bottom and the cloth canopy. It has a blowup octopus thing in the front that holds toys. Sorry I don't remember what it is called.
