I was slow to start solids with my DSs, as I waited until 7 months (so their adjusted age was 6 months). I started out with BLW, then really dialed it back after the frustration of them having a reaction a couple times and not knowing what had caused it. I started doing 1 food at a time with a combo of purees and finger foods.
So, K will eat almost anything I give him. While I don't think he's ingesting much yet from the finger foods, he loves his purees. G, on the other hand, seems to want no part of the purees. He has a little more interest in the finger foods but, like his brother, isn't ingesting much. Honestly, most days he east less than an ounce TOTAL over 3 meals. His formula drinking is still going strong, although it's about 10-20% less than at its peak (at about 7 months). He is a HUGE kid, so I'm not worried about weight gain or growth or anything.
It's just not my style to "force" him to eat a certain amount, and I try to be of the mindset that "food before 1 is just for fun". But...his interest in solids will get better, right? I'm just picturing having one great eater and one that will still only take a bottle at 3!
