Birthday Invitations

  I am aiming for 5-6 wks before. Part of me hesitates to do it early bc then ppl misplace or lose the invite or just plain forget to rsvp, then if I send it too late, they already have plans. You can't win. I am curious as to what others are doing as well.

  Why do people throw 1st bday partys anyways?  no kid remembers those.

  It's for us to celebrate the accomplishment of raising the child for the first year of their life.  I for one will be joyous because not everyone gets this blessing.

  You're so right.  I sent my wedding invitations out too early and people lost 'em.
