inexpensive pump options?

My pump just pretty much died, (the one that I used with my son three years ago) and I need to find a new one, but I am on a crazy budget. I would be using it four days a week at work, most likely three times a day. Does anyone have one of the inexpensive options (Lansinoh, Ameda, First years)? I would love to hear your opinions about them!

Have you thought about a hand pump? You can get those for less than $50.

I got my Ameda Purely Yours (not the Ultra) for $160 on Amazon.  I had been using a Medela Swing, but since I EP now I needed a double.  The Ameda is loud and makes a bit of a beepy noise when you're using it, but I still really like it.  I haven't had it very long, so I can't comment on durability, but there were a bunch of reviews from people who had issues but had them fixed by Ameda ASAP with amazing customer service.  That was actually what sold me on it.

  • I also have an Ameda Purely yours. I figured I can put it in my own bag instead of paying all that extra money for it. I got it insale on amazon for 130.  It is a bit loud, but works great!! They also have extra pump parts for it now at babies r us (you use to have to order them online). And I have heard their customer service is amazing- but I haven't needed it yet cuz it's working well.  I also like that it's easy to clean (you don't clean the tubing, which is awesome).  I would buy an extra set of diaphragms just in case, as they are delicate. Glad I did cux my cat got ahold of one :-/
  • I have the lansinoh affinity double electric. I got it from walmart for $130. It works great. I have had it for 8 weeks. (my first pump died after 2 weeks. it was the first years double electric mipump). It's not too loud and hasnt really lost suction that i can tell. I definitely recommend it.

  • The Lansinoh pump sucks.Spend a little more and get a better pump. Takes way too long to pump with it even at fastest speed and the motor sn't strong anough to pump both breasts efficiently at the same time.

  • I have the Lansinoh double electric pump. I bought it at Target for 129.00 and it works great. I am so glad I didn't go for a more expensive one because I am very happy with this pump.
