Who has adjusted the straps to a higher level? Did you take the head rest insert out?

My boy is almost 16 pounds, 4 months old. We took the infant insert out a looong time ago, but are now wondering if we need to adjust the straps. They sit below his shoulders a bit.

Check your manual. I have a graco and it says that the straps should be just below the shoulders.

I have a BabyTrend and it says that the straps should be below the shoulders. Check your manual.

We've moved the headrest up, but not taken it out yet. I've moved the straps up as well...they are still below the shoulders though. DS is 16 lbs and at least 24"

Okay thanks everyone. I did check the manual but wanted to see what you all were doing too. I can't believe we have to move straps already!! :-(

I was wondering the same thing too! My LO in only 3 months, I'm not sure how long but he's 15 lb according to the Wii today. I've been meaning to double check my manual.

We have adjusted the straps and taken the headrest out. We took the headrest out a long time ago and we adjusted the straps maybe a month ago but my DS is very long

I have a Graco, and am in a bit of a bind. The bottom level for the straps is way lower than her shoulders (like, too low) but the top one -there's only two- is just at her shoulders. We moved it up anyway, but I'm still not 100% happy about it.
