Get labor started

I just talked to my doula who is also a certified midwife about various things I can take to encourage labor. Obviously, you should all ask your doctor/midwife/whoever before trying this, but I felt it would be remiss of me not to post it here. Also I apologize if someone else has already posted this. We all know about EPO and raspberry leaf tea, but I was just given this regimen to start today:

Saturday - Arnica

Monday - Caullophyllum

Wednesday - Cimifuga

Friday - Arnica  (Wash rinse repeat until baby comes - basically every other day take one. They shouldn't conflict with the tea or the EPO)

They come in these little tubes and she said either get 3 c or 6 c. I just took my first dose and I'll let you know if anything happens. Good luck!

Re: Get labor started

  • Those are homeopaths, right?  Is the Arnica, Arnica Montana?

  • Yes to both questions. Have you heard anything about it?

  • Not for labor.  I use homeopaths for other things.  But I did look it up after I read this and it said that arnica is a labor inducer.  I'm glad I haven't taken any throughout this pregnancy!

  • The list of herbs that could be labor inducing was so long that once I got pg I gave up herbal tea completely just in case I forgot one.

  • Where were you able to get these at?

Natural food stores generally carry them.
