Hi everyone! I really want to be joining you here soon. My husband and I are trying to have another baby, but I'm worried that breastfeeding my baby is getting in the way of getting preggers again. Did you have to switch to formula to have another baby so close to the first?

I got my period back at 11 months while still breastfeeding. I have a friend who got it back at 3 months still breastfeeding. I have another friend who still didn't have it back at almost 2 years while breastfeeding (she's also super fit etc). It really all depends on your body.
Yes, formula might help you have another one sooner, but it might not (miscarriages, trouble conceiving etc). For me it wasn't worth trying. I kept breastfeeding and started trying shortly after my son turned 1 (the timing wouldn't have been good if we tried on the first cycle).
