Wool dryer balls in small dryer

Do any of you dryer ball users have one of those crappy apartment stackable washer/dryer combos like I have?  I want to start using wool but I'm not sure how many to buy.  I think the machines are considered 3/4 size but does that mean I should reduce the number of recommended balls?

    I would still use 4 dryer balls. They won't hurt your clothes or machine, but they will reduce drying time and soften your clothes. Love them!
