Alternative to Bundle Me

So, I've been reading this isn't the greatest product.  Baby will be around late Oct/early Nov and we're in Chicago, so by 2 months old, we'll need something.  What do you recommend?  Thanks!
March 2011: Off Nuva, cycle back to "normal" for me: No periods since 15 years old. June 2011:Provera&50 mg Clomid; Progesterone:0.7 July 2011:Provera&100mg Clomid; Progesterone:3.29 Met with RE:No Clomid response, begin injectables Sep 5 mg Letrozole and Ovidrel in the interim month. Cut out running (was a distance-runner), cycling, eliptical. Restricted to weight-training, walking, pilates. Brain MRI normal. Being physically over-stressed is the reason the body stopped producing prog. Late Sep 2011: Menopur, Ovidrel,& IUI (10.10.11):BFN-Great injectable response: 2 mature, 6 near mature, many smaller; Problem: 9 cysts! Dr: IUI too uncontrolled for number of viable eggs & age. On to IVF! IVF ER 12.6: 37 mature eggs, 27 fertilized, froze all to avoid overstimulation; FET 1.22 (2 Grade 1)=BFN; FET 2.22 (3 Grade 2)=BFP! Beta 10dp3dt=291; 12dp3dt=644; HB 3.26!! 174 bpm: Vanishing twin almost completely absorbed 10wks Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    We got a cover at Walmart ($15-$20, I think) that just goes over the infant seat. It has a flap you can flip up to see baby's face, and zippers so you can get baby in and out without taking the cover off. I don't remember what it's called... But we love it. At the time, it came in pink or tan. :)

    JJ cole makes a cover that does not go between baby and seat. We used it for a few months with a dec baby in NJ. I loved it. Sorry no Clicky, bumping from phone.

    FWIW, we also have the Arctic Bundle Me and used it in the bassinet on walks. Our baby was born at the end of December and I was out walking in very cold weather with a very, very warm baby. It was one of my favourite purchases.

    I LOVE my Bundle Me's. I have both the warm one and the light weight one. Used it with both of my girls (both were Dec babies). Just dress them in one layer, and unzip the top a little for air flow in the car.

    I might be wrong but I think OP was hinting towards the fact that the bundle me is NOT recommended for car travel. You are not supposed to have anything between the car seat and the infants body, making the bundle me unsafe. The packaging states this as well. This is why we used the cover instead.

    If you don't want to buy a special product you could also just strap the baby in and tuck in a blanket nice and tight around them (obviously just make sure it's not too close to their mouth/nose).
