For all of you who are pregnant or who have children, how long did it take for you to conceive? I am getting off birth control in August and my hubby and I will officially start trying to conceive in October. I'm ready to be a mama!
Peace, love and light.
Re: How long to get preg?
Never been pregnant. This is the trying to get pregnant board. You might have better luck asking this question on the 1st tri board.
FWIW, we've been trying for over a year.
Try this question on 1st-tri those ladies are now pregnant. Or search around on this board for a post with the same title as your question because this gets asked ALL the time.
We have been trying since November, but after a few normal cycles I started having extremely long cycles and I am currently on CD 64, so I don't even know what cycle this is anymore.

With DS, I had been off birth control for three years. It completely screwed up my cycles and I was still having 50 day cycles. We weren't actively TTC, but we weren't TTA either. The doctor was shocked I was ovulating at all.
To each their own... you can choose to listen to the people who say "wow I got pregnant my first cycle trying!" or people like me, where it took a heck of a lot longer. Unfortunately, it's not something you have control over, so none of these answers will really help you since I honestly don't believe (despite what docs say) that there is an "average" conception time. Seems to be all over the place. When it happens (assuming it does) it will happen. If you haven't had any luck within a year then I would consult your doc about it
you should ask the tri boards. also everyone is different.

It's different for everyone, some get KU on their first cycle trying, others try for a few months and others try for years.
They say on average a large majority of women will get KU within six months, but it is completely normal for it to take up to a year, even with perfect timing.
So now that that has probably not helped you at all, lol, you'll just have to wait and see how it is for you, but it's best to go into it with the mindset that it could take up to a year so you don't lose your mind after just a couple of months. For me personally, it took me 7 months to get KU, unfortunately it didn't stick so here we are on month 13 still trying....however for the last 6 I have not been ovulating so perhaps something would have happened by now if I were.
