When did your nausea ease up?

I'm sorry, I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.  For those nearing the end of 1st tri and are lucky enough to have your nausea symptoms ease up, at what point did that happen?  My dr. says a lot of people see it ease up around week 10 and I hope I am one of them... I'm dying here!

Some time between 11 and 12 weeks, I guess.

That said, it's not all gone. Some days are still quite annoying with the nausea and vomiting, other days are better. I think having more energy helps me to feel that it's not quite as terrible as it was at 8/9 weeks.

You know what it feels like? It feels as good as it did when I was wearing my Seabands 24/7, but now I don't have to wear them to feel that great. I'm hoping that it continues to improve into 2nd tri.

  • At 12 weeks.  I still have a couple of instances when my belly gets wishy-washy, but nothing even close to what I went through weeks 5-12.

I read a lot online that quoted 10 weeks, so when that didn't happen, I was convinced I was doomed for the entire pregnancy.  I hope you feel better soon!

  • I started feeling a bit better around week 10. Though, for the past two weeks I have had one day a week where I puke. Better than every day, but I'm just ready for it to be completely gone!

  • Around week 9.

I went immediately from nausea to hungry all the time.

  • Right around week 11...  I'm almost to week 13 and I've felt GREAT (comparatively)!!  My only problem was all night... no sleep- lots of bathroom trips.

However, the last 4 days I've switched my prenatals (which I take right before bed) from NatureMade Prenatal Multi + DHA to Target's generic gummy variety that has almost the same amount of each vitamin and I have felt AMAZING at night and early morning (stomach-wise).  I used to stay up ALL night sick and it didn't go away until 10-11 AM, but since switching my diarrhea (sorry) has gone away and so has my night/morning sickness.  I figured the "better-for-you" prenatal wasn't staying down anyways, so eventhough this one has less in it I am keeping it down.

  • Its getting better for me now but I still have bad days. With DD, I did not feel normal, totally normal, until 20 weeks. But the unbearable nausea ended well before that.

I am 11 weeks 3 days right now and today I feel GOOD. Around 10 weeks I started to feel better (no more throwing up) but not great. I went for an 8 mile run today and then ate a big salad! I have been working out through my sickness but this was the first time I had any energy and definitely the first time I could stomach a salad. I am hoping it continues. Good Luck! I have been much more sick this time than I was with my son but I do remember starting to feel better with him around 11 weeks as well.

does it ever?  Mine went away overnight at week 8.  It was magical...then came back overnight at week 10.  Lets just say Ive been crying a lot this week out of frustration...Apparently while we are still in the earlier phase and baby is making such big growth spurts we will have it on and off, but once baby hits the steady, even though rapid growth phase (I think OB said about week 12) then it starts to subside.

  • I'm just around 11 weeks and am still experiencing nausea.  It probably started around 6 weeks, peaked (to the point of me nearly having to stay home from work) around 9 weeks, and has improved steadily since then.

With DD1 I think it really took until 14-15 weeks before I was completely done with the nausea.  Hang in there - it will get better!!

  • My was really bad from 5-9 weeks by 10 weeks ill only feel sick maybe once or twice a week. but WAY better. Good luck on feeling better soon!
  • With number 1, I remember weeks 12 and 13 being pretty rough nausea and fatigue wise.  It wasn't until 16 weeks that I felt back to my old self.  I remember so distinctly b/c everyone says it's first tri, so people want to magically see it disappear by the end of 12/13 weeks...I know I did.  But yeah, I'm anticipating another month of potential rough times before being home free from it. GL!
