E cries at the breast now, she doesn't have patience (only when she is tired). She is nearly 11 months. Should I switch to formula or just keep pushing through? We have about 3 weeks of frozen bm stored

Re: Self weaning?
I personally wouldn't switch to formula now. not that there is anything wrong with formula. I would keep pushing through it and/or use what you have frozen too.
Nick is doing the same thing though. He's very distracted when nursing, he doesn't cry .
Sorry Im rambling.
Thank you for your input. I really want to push through but we are leaving on a trip tomorrow, a 9 day trip! I can't imagine it would be good to go milk-less for 9 days, or do you think it would be okay.
I should add, she is cutting her top two teeth and just getting over a virus. I really just want to go formula free. I know there is nothing wrong with it but it's a personal choice
The teething could be painful and that could be why she's balking and fussing while nursing. I would try giving her a teething tablet or orajel (or whatever you use) a little before nursing to see if that helps.
I think 9 days, at this age, is too long to go without milk or formula of some kind.
I'd keep trying & if all else fails, buy formula on your trip if she's refusing to nurse at all.
We've been going through this too. DS doesn't cry, but gets very distracted...even in a quiet room, he wants to let go every few seconds to look around, reach for things, laugh, etc. It's very frustrating for me b/c we've had trouble getting him to gain weight & I'm supposed to be taking him back in for a weight check. He'll eat purees like nobody's business though.
