So yesterday I had a BPP and NST because my fluid levels are on the low end of normal. The plan was if the fluids were too low, they would have induced me yesterday. Fluids were still on the low end of normal but because they weren't in the "Low" category, I was sent home.
Well... today my Dr. calls me and says that the ultrasound and NST came back fine (which I already knew) but that LO's cord is around his neck
Has anyone else's dr told them this? It kind of freaks me out. Both DH and my sister were born with cords around their neck and from what my mom and MIL said, it was a scary moment in the birth when that happened.
Blah.
Re: BPP, NST, and cord around the neck?
I think it's very normal like pp said the dr just unwraps it during delivery. The dr may be worried since your fluid is low that it may be a problem I'd ask next time you see the dr.

This. My daughter's cord was wrapped twice... The OB just had me stop pushing briefly while she unwrapped it.
