Weekend before. His birthday is on a Wednesday and we are having the family party on Sunday. I know it is going to be outside, I just have not chosen the location. Our house is way to small to have that many people.
If everything goes as planned, we will be celebrating his real birthday at the Space Needle.
We are doing it on her birthday because its my birthday as well so DH took off a few days(he works away) so he wont miss it. I told him that August 22nd is now a sacred holiday to him because both of his girls share the same day.
We arent going crazy bananas either though. Just close friends and family at the house but still doing a theme.

We will probably do it the weekend before because it falls on a Monday this time around. I will do something special on the day of just us though. Our party plan is to do it outdoor because it will be part pool party.
Weekend before. The 18th I think. It will be in our yard(it's huge). We have a ton of kids in the family so we will be getting a bounce house. It will be a pool party. Theme will be based off of her nursery, lavender and white with dragonfly.
LO's birthday falls on a Friday this year, so we're doing her party either the next day (Saturday) or Sunday. We are having family and a few close friends over to my parents' house. They have a lot of space inside, and a nice backyard with a deck and pool, weather permitting. (We are in a condo and definitely don't have the space!)

Our house because invited list is 180 and usually around 100 come, Dh has a BIG family ( 60 is just aunts and uncles and first cousins who are all kids and younger then us). We have tents, tables and chairs this will be 4th party at our house this big.
Pink/Brown Giraffe theme- making everything myself via photoshop
Already started making goodie bags and collecting favors
Her birthday is on a Thursday and we are having it the Sunday after at a local park. Our house is too small to accomodate anybody. We will rent a pavillion that includes a water source, charcoal grill, and there are beach volleyball courts and an enormous playground, as well as a pool. I wanted a "picnic in the park" theme, with red gingham fabric, ants, kites, watermelon, etc. and that morphed into a watermelon theme.
DD's birthday is the 29th, so we will always and forever be running into Labor Day weekend and people traveling out of town, etc. This year, we're going to keep it low key with immediate family, so I'll be asking all of our parents if they have a preference. I think everyone will be in town, so we may just end up having a birthday celebration in lieu of a normal Labor Day bbq get together.
My parents are working on putting in a pool in July, so I'm hoping that will be done in time to have the party at their house! If not, we have a two story deck and a big side yard, so we would probably look to have an evening party outdoors around dinnertime. I think an outside party in the afternoon will probably be way too hot, and DD is a night owl and never goes to bed till 9pm anyway, so a dinner BBQ would work out great. I can't believe it's coming up so soon and we're already thinking about planning!
We are having a HUGE party, basically hosting the annual family reunion and doubling as a bithday party. We have a theme of polka dots and stripes, and it is being heldin over of the picnic sites at the county park. It should be a lot of fun, but pretty hot that time of year. M's birthday is on a Wednesday so the party is going to be the Saturday before.
