Teething?

She's drooling and blowing bubbles like mad, and she seems uncomfortable.  She's moaning and making whiny sounds.  The pacifier is not soothing her, so I'm trying to see which teething things I have for her to suck on.  Am I on the right track?  I do not see any teeth buds.

Good thing her next dr appt is tomorrow morning.  We just have to get through the night!

Not that I know anything about it, but I feel like it's way too early for teething. But Sophie is drooling like mad - as in, soaking her top through completely. It's gross. So, it's not just you. I'm curious to hear what your pediatrician says.

  • Matthew is doing the same thing...he started blowing mad bubbles a few weeks ago and now he is drooling like crazy, wet shirt soaked through. He just started madly trying to bite the little blanket with a dog head two days ago.  I feel his gums but no teeth just yet.

  • It is definitely possible, early teethers run on my side of the family, usually around 4-5 months, but there is quite a bit of time leading up to that where they are drooly and hurt.  One of my sisters kids got her first teeth at 12 weeks.

My first son blazed through teething and had a full set of teeth by the age of one, getting his first one in at 4 months 1 week.

  • delilah's doing the same thing. as far as all the drool, i've started keeping a bib on her at all times unless she's asleep or we go somewhere i'll take it off right before we get out of the car. that way i don't have to change her clothes so many times and the constant drool on her clothes gives her little bumps on her chest/neck.

  • Its very possible! Our pedi said you don't have to feel teeth tocall it teething, he was saying how the teeth have to make their way up, so it does bother them, and the drooling and sucking/gumming on things are signs of that!

  • I have proof that it's not too early, laying in a pack n play, talking to himself.  I checked DSs gums this morning and sure enough, there is a little tooth making it's way in.  He hasn't been sleeping as well for the past 2 weeks, so we thought something might be going on, and now we know for sure.
