So I know many of you are now expecting again and some of us have some ridiculous stories from when we were pregnant in the past. I was thinking for a laugh we could share some of those moments.
I have two ridiculous moments that come to mind...
1. Last night I was reading the shortened version of 101 Dalmatians children's book to Iz and started crying when Horace and Jasper were discussing Cruella deVil making the puppies into coats.
2. When I was pregnant with Iz I got very sick one evening all pregnancy related and in the culmination of the event the toilet broke and my glasses broke. I couldn't believe my bad luck on that night. I still am a bit stunned by that night.
I seriously had to question how old I was today, couldn't remember... YIKES!
I usually have to think hard to remember how old I am and when's my birthday! lol And I am not pregnant!! lol
I just rememeber always going in and out during meetings with my Supevisor... like he'd explain stuff to me...and I'd be like HUHHH?? when he's done...and he'd have to start all over. When I try to think back about work during months 4-8 of my pregnancy, everything is such a blur!! Luckily, my Supervisor had two younger kids and is very pro-family/ women...so he never judged lol.
I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant with Joshua when my 'silly' moment happened. My boss at that time was a serious spaz - there were some stressful discussions going on regarding who was going to be over our department. There are not very many females who work here & the one I was closest to had been laid off the month before & my male colleague who I may have admitted that something may be wrong to was travelling. At lunchtime I ate a Fiber One bar. It gave me severe gas - I thought I was having contractions. Not wanting to say anything to my boss I kept walking around which was easy enough to disguise as they were remodeling the bathrooms in our building so I had to walk across the way to the other building to use the bathroom. After about 2 hours of being absolutely miserable and about to confess that something may be wrong I took one more walk to the other building and as I was walking I let the biggest fart out. Immediately the pain went away.
I had not wanted to tell spaz boss because he probably would have wanted me to stay out of work the rest of my pregnancy & I would not have been able to have stood that.
