  I have been wondering the same thing, but DD is older. Honestly, I can't find the Bumbo, and that is the only reason I haven't tried it yet. IDK, I think one month may be a little young. I know DD#1 couldn't fit her chunky thighs in it after about four months, so I was definitely using it by say three months.

  I put LO in when she was just over 2 months.  I only use it for a very short time and I put a magazine behind her head to support it.  I know that sounds weird,but her head was falling back a slight bit, not forward.  I too wonder about the spine, but I figure if its just a short while it couldn't be horrible.  Her fat little legs already have to be squeezed in there.  I can't imagine what it will be like in a few months.

  I'm a pediatric OT and the Bumbo is not good for the spine and doesn't help LO's sit up unassisted any earlier. Until LO can hold their head up really well - around 3 or 4 months (not until then even if you think your kid is advanced) - it isn't safe. You really don't want to mess with a developing baby's spine just to say your kid can sit up.
