Im on the bump all day haha
anyway, i am currently looking for a new job/career change. i dont have must experience in anything but the industry i am in, (hairstylist). But im over it.
Is there anyway i can get a job or start a business at home legitimately?
I dont have money to go to school, im still paying loans for hair school. I have been think of some kind of data entry work or virtual assistant maybe or anything that i can be trained and make good money. May seem like too much to ask for or not thought out, but i am desperate for a career change. I have started applying for little jobs in my area but nothing yet. FYI, i am a person that keeps to myself a lot and like being around less people as possible, still friendly though.
Any Advice??
Re: Find a work at home job?
Its really hard, nearly impossible. Especially if you can't go to school or aren't specialezed in anything except hair. There a lot of scams out there. But I've heard good things about transcription.

Your best bet is to find a reputable company that would enable you to work through a telecommuting agreement. I WAH through a telecommuting agreement with the employer I had before I had my son. It's a formal agreement that requires me to have dedicated office space in my home, and full time child care for my son, but has been a life saver for us because my commute prior to WAH was more than I wanted to deal with once I had a child.
Unfortunately as PP mentioned, there are a lot of scams out there, and it's difficult to find good WAH arrangements.
I would emphasize though, that for anyone who expects to make good money WAH, you have to expect that 95% of the job expectations are going to be the exact same as they would be in a normal work environment. (100% if you don't consider how you have to dress to go to work an expectation.) You also have to factor in expenses. I provide a dedicated phone line for my office to reach me, high speed internet, a printer, and standard office supplies for myself. Sure, we had some of those expenses as a household already, but it definitely is a part of WAH and should be spelled out in any WAH agreement.
I believe the Stay at Home Mom board gets asked this a lot, so they may have better advice.
I work from home too, but it took me a long time to find this opportunity an I am pretty high up in my field. I am a Producer and Communications Consultant with over 14 years of experience.
In my opinion, the only work from home job you will be able to find without experience is something n the Direct Sales industry (Mary Kay, Silpada, Herbalife). Women can be very successful in those ventures, but you have to work really hard at it. There are no easy roads.
I can imagine being a hairstylist would be difficult while pregnant, being on your feet all day. I don't know how my girl did it. I guess you could do cut and color from your home if you have space though and don't mind people coming into your home. I know people that go to other's homes all the time to get highlights. I used to get mine done at my friend's home until she joined a salon closer to my house. She didn't have a shampoo bowl either, I just leaned over the tub. It wasn't the "salon experience" but it wasn't the salon price either!
This would be a great idea until you find something else that could work! Also, it's not a job by any means but you could do something like Swagbucks just to earn some extra dollars. I always earn my points to redeem amazon giftcards because you can buy almost anything on amazon. I've already made about 50 bucks this year. PM me if you have any questions.
