Working Moms

Not sure where to put this.

 Hi,

I used to work for an insurance company, and last week he terminated my position due to me being pregnant. So to make things short & sweet I do not work anymore and i am 16 weeks  pregnant.

I am looking for any kind of advice as to any kind of work that I could do from home, or anywhere really. I have applied everywhere, but I guess I just need some reassurance and encouragement that everything will work out for the best.

Thanks for reading my vent :)

Do you have proof? Cause I'm pretty sure that's illegal.....

Anyway, lots of women on here have gotten jobs while pregnant, so chin up! Also, if you need it, make sure you utilize things like WIC, food stamps, etc. until you find something new.

Eliminating your position because you are pregnant? 100% illegal any way you slice it.  DISCRIMINATION!!!!

I agree with PP though that you will find work if you keep trying.  It is not easy, but it is definitely doable.  Hugs!

That is definitely illegal. You should file for unemployment and talk to a lawyer. Don't be discouraged, you will find something!!

I would consult with your local EEOC office or a labor relations attorney.  They will probably help you for free.
